I have a left-handed '79 Guild S-60, identical to the image below (but left-handed of course) in very similar condition that I would like to trade for an SG... or maybe a strat or something.

The original tuners were HORRIBLE so I changed them for Sperzels a LONG time ago... I still have the originals, but the Sperzels are still on the guitar. Other than that, the neck is bone straight, the frets are in amazing shape, and the electronics are all original.

I am not much of a guitar player at all... I just want something different... maybe something a little more versatile for my home recording projects.

A l'79 lefty in white sold on eBay recently for about $1000, so there is apparently a demand for them.

Can anyone lead me in the right direction, or should I just try and sell the thing and buy something?

Nice guitar. Very rare too.

Try:

http://www.leftyguitartrader.com

Or:

http://www.fenderforum.com

Both have a lefty and classified section.

Oh, sweet... thanks!

I'll post something up over there and see what happens.

Right on... thanks for the leads!

I'll be posting up some trade requests, and see where it takes me.

BTW - Here are actual pics of the guitar if anyone was interested in seeing it.

I know that Kim Thayil of Soundgarden played a Guild, but I do not know which model.

Any interest in a MIA Strat or Carvin SC90? The Carvin would be pretty much identical to the Guild though.

Maybe the Strat?

You can email pics and/or details to caddison AT gmail DOT com.

Oh, and here's a link to the eBay listing where an identical model in white sold for $950 for anyone who's interested.

Mine does not have all the weather checking in it either.

Not in the right places - trying to avoid the 10% surcharge with a 6 week to 3 month build period.
