I just can't seem to pass up any lefty body that comes into the Warmoth "Screamin' Deals" showcase. This is the second one I've grabbed in 6 months. I've never owned a Jaguar before, and I had lots of spare parts around. The only new parts I needed were the pickguard(s) and the bridge. I have lots of bridges around but none of them had the same drilling pattern as this. For whatever reason it was pre-drilled for the Schaller 463. I really didn't want to drill new holes so... It's literally the only bass I have that doesn't sport a Hipshot bridge. l feel like I'm cheating. (Sorry Bill... just this once... haha.)

Body: Solid maple (yes... HEAVY) w/ precision/jazz over route option so I can run with either type of pickups in the neck position. Battery box on back.
Finish: Dragon Burst w/Candy Green burst over on the back.
Pickguard: Vintage Pearl (one with J route and one with P route)
Bridge: Schaller 463 or... 3D 4... or whatever they call it these days.
Pickups: EMG JVX Active (at the moment) I will likely switch out the neck for an EMG PX.
Controls: Blend control (w/the chicken head knob), master volume, master tone. (Knobs are just some stuff I had around.)
Neck: Maple/Rosewood from a Mexican Jazz I've had for.... a REALLY long time.
Tuners: Hipshot w/Drop D-Tuner

My first impressions are pretty great. I'm not a huge fan of Jazz necks. I prefer bigger and beefier necks but... this is fun to play faster stuff on. Plus the heavier maple body seems to make up for the skinnier neck tone wise. In my head anyway. Super fun build. I have one more in the works and then... I'm either getting divorced or will have to stop...

Just scrolled by this on Facebook, but didn't realise it was you! I love it, it's in-your-face but still classy. Awesome finish!

Awesome job! The top finish reminds me of those Spear Flextool basses, but looks much sharper on your bass. Did you paint the body yourself?

Nah. There's no way I could pull off this kinda finish myself. The body was in the in stock showcase unfinished for cheap. I got them to add the pickup over route, paint it, and make the two pick guards. (Colour is called "Dragon Burst".) I wanted something outside of the normal sunburst/tobacco burst realm. You know.... something that right handed players get all the time.... haha.

And here's the final set up. I've been A/B'ing the J vs the P pickup and as I suspected, the P wins. But it's nice to know I can swap in a J PU anytime I want, just in case.
