A while back there was this thread about a Starfire Bass that was misrepresented by a seller.

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=10864&hilit=guild+starfire

It turned out to be an innocent mistake on their part, and I was pretty pissed about it, but they made it worthwhile to keep it. I decided to mod it with a Curtis Novak BiSonic Pickup. I had to have the bass routed of course, but I needed a pickup surround to cover the spots where the old pickup cavity would be visible after installing the new pickup.
I did a tracing and sent it to WD pickguards. It's just made out of black pickguard material but it turned out great. I'm happier than expected with how this turned out. It's a really great playing and sounding bass.

The way it should be:

That's lovely! I have to admit I was impressed with how it sounds in the demo vids on Youtube, but this is the way it should be, IMO 8-)
