Nice! I just noticed these too, much cooler with the Bi-Sonic pickup. Can’t wait to hear what you think.

I should have it early to mid next week. I’ll definitely give my impressions

Hey, I don’t want to sow unnecessary doubt, but I think there might be a possibility that they’ve just used a reversed picture of a Starfire (Bi-Sonic) for a Starfire I (split p pickup) listing.
It’s kind of hard to tell, but if you look really closely at the knobs the Volume and Tone look backwards and there’s no picture of the headstock.
I might be wrong, but just looking out. Personally I’d still be interested but you may want to confirm before it’s shipped.
Another clue is that the per the Guild website the “classic” Starfire has an MSRP of $1,535 as opposed to the Starfire I’s MSRP of $835.

According to both their listings (it was on reverb too) and what they told me on the phone, it’s lefty. I did send a message to confirm. I’m gonna be pissed if they fucked up the listing like that.

Appears the starfire I bass is available left handed. The single pickup doesn't show lefty option. Maybe the wrong default pic plus that pics reversed.

Yeah after doing a little digging, I’m convinced I’ll be getting the wrong bass. They aren’t answering their phone. I’m an idiot for getting excited and not noticing the pics, and they suck for misrepresenting their shit. Guess it’ll be an instant return.

This is one of the highest rated shops on Reverb. Anyone can make a mistake, but I think intentional misrepresentation is unlikely. I'm cautiously optimistic for you.

They do have great feedback. That definitely factored into my haste.

Ugh, what a pain. Hopefully if it turns out to indeed be the wrong bass, you’re able to get it sorted out easily enough.

Definitely a reversed photo, and the wrong photo to boot.

If it’s not the Bisonic it will be disappointing for sure, Matt. But if it turns out to be the new Starfire I, at least you’ll get to give it a go and share your impressions with us before you pack it up... we’ll all be anxious to hear what you think of it! Not much of a silver lining- but who knows, maybe you’ll find it better than expected (not a lot of other P pickup semi hollows out there, and in the demo it actually does sound pretty good):

I’m not into that PBass type model at all. If that’s what it is, directly back in the box it goes haha

I still got the high hopes for ya Matt. Hopefully they didn't had a pic of the actual bass in stock and had to improvise.
Fingas cross'd! :)

Got this reply back this morning. Cautiously optimistic, but I still think they may be sending me the model with the “bi-coil” pickup and not the bi-sonic. Either way, looks like they will make it right.

“ I looked into it and the bass is definitely Left Handed and the specs claim that it has a single BiSonic pickup but Guild doesn't have that specific model number on their website so I don't have a way to confirm the specific pickup. Just let us know if it's not what you were expecting when you get it and we can provide a prepaid return label, thanks!”
