Well that's...different. Some interesting design elements there, like a floating rosewood bridge, those string through buttons/tubes?, and that reverse Strat jack plug.

Tuning machines are even wackier than the jacks.

I kinda like it, but I don't like how high the strings pass over the body and how far those pickups stick out. I appreciate when something stops me from digging in too deep, especially when I slap. The jack is interesting, but positioning it between the pots looks weird.

I was confused. I was looking at the headstock clamps on a bridge-tuning model. I dig the headless-but-with-a-headstock configuration.

But yeah, I'm liking that jack less and less the more I look at it.

I'm wondering if the Sandberg Lionel will be offered left-handed. Probably not, I assume.

There's never been a better time to buy a Ric than now imo. It's craziness I think I counted 60 for sale on Reverb.

Matt, I do believe Summer NAMM is open to the public, unlike winter NAMM. Summer NAMM seems to be much more guitar-centric as opposed to the overwhelming information overload that is NAMM in Anaheim.

I have long ago given up the hunt for the microscopic amounts of lefty guitars and basses at NAMM . I do, however, go to insane lengths to plan/map out new products and artist demonstrations. then tear up the game plan by the end of the 1st day because of getting way-laid by 1) cool stuff we stumble across 2) folks/friends/artists we run into and 3) sore feet!

I'm also a synth junkie and spent a lot of time in the Korg booth playing with the ARP 2600 re-issue. And at Novation with the Summit. And at ASM with the Hydrasynth. Spent a couple of hours one morning in the Gibson acoustic room and had the wife try out various SJ-200's (they have some cool new models!), Hummingbirds, Doves and the Cheryl Crow sig model. I got my hands on the lone lefty SJ-200 . Gotta get there early to avoid the cacophony lol. I'm SO glad Henry J. is out of the picture at Gibson, it is truly a breath of fresh air dealing with them now.

Also spent a fair amount of time in the Pro Audio section checking out the gear as I want to simultaneously upgrade and downsize my P.A.

Artist-wise it was a bit thin for us this year. Didn't really run into anyone I recognized, though my drummer buddy who did attend on Saturday ran into a ton of artists, none of whom I recognized lol.

My shameless tube amp flipping came to an immediate halt when I got my YBA-200. The 100 is missing the range and resonance controls, though, which I actually use a lot. On the other hand, only 22 pounds! But I also have an Ashdown Little Stubby for quieter stuff.

Yet still........

it is indeed the YBA-100
