I realize there may be a couple of Carvin threads already (for some reason the search function keeps throwing a 404 error for me). My question is this, has anyone purchased an Icon series bass in the last 18 months? I have been considering dumping my entire Leo Fender collection and trying something a little more modern. I like the idea of a neck through body and the seemingly endless combinations of wood and finishes. I have been a Fender player my whole life (except in the Beatles cover bands as apparently playing a specific model is a prerequisite go figure and of course a Ripper in the dreaded 80's hair band days) and really hate the fact that the left handed models cannot be configured the same as the right handed models.
