Ok, this one looks like an awesome little fixer-upper

Let's all fight over it now.

Good luck making it across the border with that rosewood fretboard...
You'll have a nice bass or no bass and no money...

So far I've shipped a few things with Rosewood to the states after CITES changed the rules with no issue, I'm not sure sure how much they're looking at instruments

Nice. Very happy with mine. I wonder what preamp is in it. The Badass II is a nice upgrade, made a ton of difference on mine. Brighter, tighter and slightly metallic but in a good way to my ears.

This confirms my suspicion - the rule only applies to right-handed rosewood.

Nope

They were all right handed instruments!

I can't believe someone's taking home a bass that nice for that price

I sent the seller a message and asked about the shipping issue making it across the border, he said he shipped 4 other instruments with rosewood fretboard with no issue.
Worst case scenario I figured Ebay would return the money if the item was not delivered but I'm not sure about that.
The auction would end around 5:30am and I usually wake up around 6am so I got up a little earlier to find that the price was still low so I bided at the last seconds and won it!
Fingers crossed! :)

Congrats! Food for thought at that price you could get the body refinished in any color.

I really like the white finish but I don't like the hole in the back and the side jack.
A good option if being refinished is to cover the holes but let's see how it arrives.
Serial # says it's from 93/94.

It arrived today safe and sound!
The frets where so dirty they where almost black so I polished them and gave it a good clean up.
I was curious to see what was under the hood.
It's an Aguilar OBP-3 and it looks like a very well done installation job, the routing in the back and under the pickguard where also well done.
I'll post some pics when I get a chance!

Congrats, Paulo. I'm glad it arrived safe and sound.

I wish we had some more concrete info about what's getting through vs what's being seized, 'cause I'm still a bit too scared to order overseas at this point.

Thanks Tim and pjmuck!
I only ordered because it was through Ebay as they claim to cover you if you don't get what you ordered otherwise I would not try it elsewhere.
pjmuck, maybe you can ask the seller to post it on Ebay and give it a shot. Good luck!
