A bit overpriced. The serial number reads it as a 78. Beautiful bass though.

A '78 and northern ash. I'm guessing that bass weighs at least 11lbs.

You think so? USD comes to (at current market value...) $2218, which, considering the condition, doesn't seem out of line to me... but, would like to hear from our collective Fender experts...

i agree, not a bad price after rate of exchange, especially for a pretty rare configuration/rosewood board.

Market value has that configuration and year anywhere from $1300 to $1900 depending upon condition. But as with anything, it's worth what you're willing to pay for it. I'm my opinion (and I'm no "expert") I think $2200 is a bit high. Not ridiculously high, just a bit though.
