I think the rick sound would be perfect for an 8 string and whoever owns this never needs to worry about a rhythm guitarist again. But I picked up a schecter 8 string on here for about 1/8 of the price that's good enough for playing in my back room, which is all the playing I get to do these days. If you're a working metal / hard rock bassist though, I bet this would be frigging awesome.
