I bought a Carvin LB50 from Carmine years ago. It is one of 3 basses I use for every gig in my cover band. I have a Roland GK3B midi PUP mounted to mine to cover synth bass songs (Superstition, Power of Love, Abacab, Muse songs, etc). The GK3B, in combo with the stereo out ability of the LB50, is one incredibly massive wall of sound.
