Seems like I've always been attracted to things in life that are not the norm... and this bass is one of them! First saw this model at the 2008 NAMM show, and eventually bought one. Found my old PayPal receipt- it was $139.95, plus $13.50 shipping... total was $153.45 to Oahu, Hawaii. Got to say, never really played it, and had literally forgotten I had it, until this thread. Here's mine....

Hands on the 2x4 and start to play it!
I'm curious about how it balances without the weight of the body...!

I remember when these first came out too and had considered buying one too. All the strap bar holders sticking out of it look awkward to me though. I guess the only issue I'd have with the portability marketing is a Steinberger gets you there too, but likely better. So when all is said and done, is it really any more portable? And now, of course, we've got bass ukes to cover that too.

I think you're forgetting the real purpose of this bass is for agile clubbing of drunks with something that doesn't cost hundreds of dollars nor get you busted for a disorderly for carrying an actual weaponized blunt instrument into a drinking establishment :)
