Gentlemen.

I have the new G&L price list for February 2017, and the JB and JB-5 models now say a wonderful thing beside them in big bold letters...

NOW AVAILABLE LEFT HANDED

Base model with no upgrade options $1399.99(US) for the JB and $1499.99(US) for the JB-5
Also, the new split coil aN5 pickup is standard on all Jazz models (JB, JB-5, MJ, MJ-5)

There wasn't any major increases fortunately and there's now some great new wood choices available standard for all instruments including a light-weight US Basswood (+$50 US) and Okuome (+ $100 US) as an upgrade.

Hm. So if basswood is an upgrade, what on earth are they making the bodies out of to begin with?

Alder, I guess "upgrade" is the wrong word. Let's say "option" ;)

I've gotta get a couple on order, need to decide on finishes. Life is difficult :(

Would be nice if G&L had a configurator page like the Sandberg or Fender's mod shop!
Sandberg saves the info so you can take to a dealer if you decide to order.

One of the dealers down in the states went ahead and built one, it works pretty good.

All of the options seems to be priced on the high side, so if you want a few options it could be a lot more. Example $75 for Perloid pickguard seems high, Binding and a few others all seem high. So I agree these are great basses (I have 3 G&L's) however if you select several options the pricing could get kinda high.
