He's asking $3000, which we all know it's a bit much. I recently went to this store, and for guitarists, it's mind blowing. Jerry's a nice guy.

Funny enough, just last night I had a dream that I was holding a black '70's Jazz and the neck broke in two as I was playing it. Those 3-bolt neck joints never gave me confidence. . . (and in reality they are solid as they need to be.)

Jazz basses are so much prettier than P basses, but I think I'm coming around to realize that I'm more of a P-bass guy.

Yikes. That's unreasonably expensive.

Looks like replacement DiMarzio PUPs and knobs. Surprisingly overpriced, considering I've always found Jerry's prices to be pretty reasonable.

I agree on the price however I believe the knobs are correct to that period, for that price they have many pics but none of the Pots, Neck Stamp, internal wiring ect.

This looks like the "tuxedo" era of Fender but those had dots and binding, not blocks.. early 80's. The damn S7 serial is throwing me off making me think its a parts bass.

All the good old Fender Jazz basses got snatched up by broker resellers in Europe and out of our price range. Sad!!!!

You are correct. My mistake. Those Strat knobs were first introduced in '77, according the The Fender Bass Book.
