Well, since I snagged that Corvette, I can let this one go for now. I think it could go a little cheaper (I paid $400 for mine, mint), but IMHO these are a steal even at the list price.

You find your Warwick, and now your G&L! You should be playing the lottery!

Well, if I'm going to give up my hard-earned cash, I want a little something more than dreams in return ;)

But yeah, this hurts. The tribby was originally more than I wanted to spend, so I was waiting it out. Then the vette popped up and I was glad I held off because the vette has been harder to find. But now the tribby is in deal-of-the-week territory...

When it rains it pours and all that :P

Another one popped up on Reverb, currently $490:

For the moment, however, I seem to be SB-1 obsessed.

I wanted $400 for mine refinished refinished in trans red and since no one wanted to get it off my hands I asked to remove the listing, then a board member contacted me about the bass. I told him after all of the work I wouldn't let it go for less than $500. He accepted so I sold it to him.
I miss it every time i look at it!

Yeah, you did a great job. Once or twice I've kinda hoped it would pop back up on here :)

Pete-

Just out of curiosity, do you have any thoughts on the difference between the single-coil vs. the split-coil configuration?

I do not. I can only say that the SB-1 had a monster single coil and was as light as a feather.
