Caption contest! :(

I'll start: This is one smokin' neck, used to grill hot dogs on the day Leo Fender sold the company"

File deep under "what were they thinking" alongside the Pizza bass.

"If you know Leo Fender like I did, you know that he loved two things: guitars and hockey. Leo himself modified this QC-reject neck so that my polio-stricken daughter could play floor hockey while confined to wheelchair. Regulation curve and ready for athletic tape. Ultra-adaptable design doubles as a shoe horn, doorstop, cake knife, and cricket bat. With a little ingenuity a talented carpenter could turn this into an attractive table lamp, pot rack, or screen door handle. Practically the only thing it couldn't do--really swinging for the fences here--is function as a guitar or bass neck. That would be nuts. Beyond that, the only limit is your imagination. Priced appropriately for spring. $100 shipping gets it to you by Mother's Day! Serious inquiries only, please. No low ballers!"

You have to give the seller his due for a pretty great listing:

Quote:
This modified vintage neck is quiet possibly the last lefty that came out of fullerton plant before he sold it it was made the day he sold it and that makes it very rare although the head stock has ben chopped frets pulled the neck is pretty straight BUT HAS SLIGHTback bow witch is right when tensioned this is a worthy project for fender custom shop OR HIGHLY SKILLED LUITHIER don't have time and doe to invest right now ben holding on to her for over 20 years no returns it is what it is buyer pays shipping and insurance this one is the one don't blow it I hate to sell I know this wont come up again thanks for lookin

I would be purple and gasping for breath after typing that many words without a comma or period.

Did someone say "pizza bass"? This one even has a bite taken out of it.

The seller has added pictures and updated the listing.

Maybe I misunderstand your comment, but there's a difference between making fun of a birth defect and making fun of a bad tattoo :)
