Besides the typical Dimarzio pickup/Badass Bridge mod. this one is odd as it has a rosewood board and a skunk stripe on the back of the neck. It also has the insert at the base of the headstock typical of 70's maple necks. Could have started as a maple? http://www.nationwideguitars.com/1975fe ... LHnat.html Priced a little high IMHO considering the mods. but looks clean.

All good points. Interesting that there are no pics of the necks heel. That might shed some light.

The fingerboard looks a bit thick- unlike the rosewood veneer used in 70's Fender basses. I'm thinking the board was added to replace a worn out maple board. Even though the necks were one piece maple on Fender basses with maple necks, they do get worn out esp if the neck has had too many re-frets. I have a 68 P bass that has a similar issue.

Also looks to be a Jazz neck too. Look how narrow the nut is.

It might be an "A" neck, but it''s not a Jazz neck.

I'm leaning towards it being a parts bass. The neck just looks way off for the decade.
