I've recently figured out that I don't like the sound of Jazz Basses, or at least when I play them. That took awhile. Anyway, here's one that you can buy from me. It's MIJ from sometime in the 90's I think. It now has a Badass II, an after-market pickguard, DiMarzio Ultra Jazz pickups, the finish removed from the back of the neck, knurled knobs, and a bunch of dings all over it, most notably a big chip (a hole, more like) in the paint on the rear upper bout that was there when I bought it. The pickups were professionally installed at Gary Brawer Instrument Repair in San Francisco, but the pole-pieces don't look lined up with the strings as well as I think they should. I've had flats on it for years and I didn't really notice that mis-alignment until I put some rounds on it a few months ago. Probably a pretty easy repair, but I'll reflect that in the price. It has a non-Fender HSC that's perfectly adequate but not great. The tuners are stock. It's not super lightweight, but not "heavy" either, about 9lbs. The neck plays like a dream.
