"A tribe of 6" That's great man. I thought the tone was great I couldn't believe how much the preamp changed the tone. It's more thick and rich and clearer. I don't think anyone would have guessed it's a Carvin but they are great I mean great basses. The preamp is their major drawback but easily changed.

One thing I noticed you B string on lower notes clipped it maybe be the recording settings, pickups too high, or the preamp may need to be run at 18 volts. My guess is since the B string was noticeably louder I think you may want to drop the pickups in slightly on the B side and see if that's it. If you hear it in your amp I can prewire another 9 volt clip and send it to you with easy directions how to run both batteries in series without changing much of anything there is plenty of room in the control cavity but I think pickup height might be the root....

Tone is killing IMO sounds awesome. The neck is thin and comfortable as far as any 6 string I ever played. Cheers

Thanks yeah I noticed the B string being too loud also - pickup adjustment is probably the answer. The bass is awesome thanks!

Alright Thumbslam, now you're really making me mad I don't live in your neck-o-the woods! ;) Would love to have access to your shop and expertise to tweak some of my favorite basses, and get your advice on some of the project basses I've started, but haven't finished.... How about a short video post sometime of you guys working on a Thursday night? Would enjoy seeing your setup.... :)

Did you try adding it to youtube? If you do that, and share the link, it should work for you...
