Hi guys,
I thought some you might enjoy this lefty Ric I picked up a while back. I had posted on another site looking for a lefty 4001V63 (Paul McCartney reissue). One of the guys there directed me to this bass. It a rare one. First of all it's short scale, 30", never seen another! Also, it's an S model which Rickenbacker discontinued in the mid or late nineties. I like the looks of the S models better, more like Sir Paul's bass, no binding and dot inlays instead of the shark tooth thing. When I first got it it had round round strings and as you can imagine it was pretty bright sounding (due to the bridge being moved up) I put a set of TI Jazz flats on it and MAN does it sound killer! It's pretty comfortable too. I mostly play guitar but fill in on bass when our bass player is unavailable. The fretboard is only 21 1/2" long so it feels like guitar kinda. This thing is just great! I love it...I still want the 4001V63PMC though...
