As some of you may remember I've been itching for the impossible vintage Fender for over 12 years. And it's finally about to happen! However, it's just stupid crazy expensive. So I must sacrifice my CS P-bass to justify it.

This is just a heads up post to which I'll add more detail later. When I have time I'll list it on ebay (maybe over the weekend hopefully). Everyone here is getting a heads up.

Some basics for now:

I'm asking $2750.
All original stock
Excellent condition
Masterbuilt in '97 by Masterbuilder Gene Baker in the John Page era CS
Sunburst/Tort
Birdseye Maple
Rosewood fretboard
Alder
original Fender case black tolex
4-string
string-thru bridge (all original Fender hardware; nickel everywhere)
lefty of course!!!

In the process of locating my pics. They may already be here someplace in a different forum, can't remember right now. Feel free to request more info. Bass is located in Nashville.

More later...

I exchanged emails with KOA about a year ago just to say hi and see how he's doing. I believe his life shifted to other priorities besides music and online music forums so I don't think he's participated here in a while. Good guy though.

I recall him wanting to sell his CS P-Bass because he had his eye on a jazz bass. Either he sold the P and got the jazz or decided to stick with the P.

I'm going to move this thread to FS:Sold to avoid further confusion.

No, because the email attached to his account no longer works. All the PM notifications he's been getting sent to the email on his account are bouncing back to me. Best I can say is see if the PM you sent him gets read and responded to at some point.

I'm back.

Sorry for the delay.

Life happens!

It is what it is!

The dog (actually I have a cat) ate my homework & I lost my p/w (true)

I will return very soon to bring closure to this thread. Right now I'm simply thrilled there's functioning memory cells to recall the p/w. I was *thiiiiiis* close to registering again under the cryptic name "KingOfAmps2". I hesitated because maybe it should be "KingOfAmps II" to better match my crown and royal persona

Once a Lefty always a Lefty!

Here's the short story:

Not long after I posted in a few places about this bass being for sale I was overwhelmed with interest. By lefty standards that is, so like 3 or 4 serious offers as I recall.

It ended up going to a very cool dude up in Canada who flew in to tennessee to pick it up in person which was great and a HUGE stress reliever.

buyer & seller very happy.

so yes it sold and sorry to leave everyone hanging for so long. I hate it when that happens it's lame. Apologies.
