I probably wouldn't play this bass much if given to me for free, but gotta appreciate the beauty and craftsmanship. ;)

My one and only boutique weakness. I wish I could afford it, but then again it's probably fortunate that I cant.

Again, I believe this has been tossed around before, but how do they justify charging $13k for a bass? I just don't see it being worth $8k more than my F Bass, or for that matter, $11k more than my Carvin IC5. Beautiful though it may be. Very well made though it may be. Silly pricing.

I know several people who own a Fodera and they swear by then. I don't doubt they make a great product but you are definitely paying for the name and their expensive New York City location. However, there are enough people in the world wanting their products they have a 12+ month wait list.

If money wasn't an option, I would pay 13K for it. But then again, I would fly there on my private jet and wipe my ass with $100 bills.

One of the reasons that I don't support Fodera is the 15% upcharge for left-handed instruments.

+1 to all of the above, especially the part about $100 bills.

However, if it does make it to NAMM, some of us will be fortunate enuff to actually play it.

Lastly, that top looks like it came from the same piece of wood as my Wyn. I swear to god the resemblance is uncanny.

From what I understand, Fodera sells just about every bass they bring to NAMM to the Japanese market before the show ever officially opens. I've walked by as early as 9:30 AM on Thursday, and they already have sold signs on almost every bass.

I'm going to beeline my way to the Fodera booth on Wed night or Thurs morning with hopes they'll let me play this bass... I've never even seen a lefty Fodera in person before, so I hope they let me check it out, even though there's no way in hell I could ever afford it.

Really looking forward to it.

FWIW I've never had a problem playing any of their basses at the show.

Please do. Because I sure wish I was out there in person to meet & hang with you fuckers. I suspect it would be fairly epic.

Oh, dude... Now that you said that, I'm going to eat a whole bucket of KFC before I play it.

If you ever do make it out, give me enough notice so I can make sure my will is updated... I'm not a god fearing man, but I think biblical would be an accurate description.

I can't wait to have a feedback from you guys who will have the chance to play that bass. I am so curious to see if it is worth at least 1/2 the price.

Have fun down there,

Sly
