Are these any good? And is this seller trying to sell it as a Fender? He doesn't show the little Squier logo on the side.

I just bought one off here and I love it. Who are you talking about selling one?

Just saw that it was sold for $305. Looks totally fishy to me. Squier's have been made all over the planet it seems, but never heard of any Fender's being made in Korea. Even if it is a fraudulently re-decal'd Squier, that's not a bad price. How long ago did Fender discontinue all lefty Precisions except the American Standard? Five years maybe?

I'm no Fender expert, but Squiers have been made in Korea. I have a ProTone Strat from the mid-90s, made in Korea (as I understand it, before they canceled the line and moved production to Mexico because the well-made but cheaper Korean models were cannibalizing sales of the American made ones).

The Korean Squiers have Fender logos with "Squier Series" in small letters also on the headstock. These were made in the early 90's.

I had one.

Tags say Dec. 18th 1996.

About the next year or so I began noticing the Squire basses sporting Made In Indonesia. Several years after that, China.

It was a good bass for the money and would like to have it back.

Paid $254.99 NEW

This is a picture of the headstock of the bass that I just sold here on Leftybassist. It is the same series as the one that just sold on Ebay. The Ebay bass is not a Fender, but a Squier bass made in Korea by Cort, I believe. The seller really should have taken a picture showing the full headstock.
