please do post a pic :) I took a little chance on the color too - there aren't too many pics of vintage natural, but generally G&L finishes are really nice, so it should be good.

But I have to wonder how many of those limited edition l-1000 did G&L produce? I knew of Rocket, obviously, but Bass northwest is new for me and I am wondering if there are others...

Yeah I don't know how many are being done. Bass Northwest has 4 in stock right now, and Greg from Rocket said he will do another order if there is interest. Still, the total can't be more than a few dozen. I wonder if they might bring back the L1000 as a regular model. They did bring back the LB100 after a long absence, so we'll see I guess.

Well I hope that making a dozen or two of the l-1000 won't motivate G&L to manufacture more: it will seriously diminish the value of ours :(

Yeah I thought so too its like 2 1/2 weeks from when I ordered it. Either they're not very busy or they're giving this a priority. Rocket is a pretty active dealer maybe it's a favor for them dunno.

Greg, where is my beloved L-1000? You received on Thursday so I was expecting Friday morning next to my chemney like it was Santa morning, no?

I haven't seen Greg in these parts, but he is supposed to post pics soon. Yolly - he should have sent you a bill already. If not, email or pm him. He did send me one. He posted a sound clip of one of the L1000s in the thread here - sounds like a 1K, and that's a good thing:
