The tax man was overly generous this year and decided to send me one of these:

Be still my beating heart!

It should arrive Saturday.

Yeah Baby!! You're gonna LOVE it. I've had mine since soon after they came out and it's the best big ass tube amp I've ever had. Glad I could help you with your decision. Woot!

MINE!

The matching 610 cabs are on backorder until mid-April, guess I'll just have to wait ...

Is your's just like the picture? I ask this dumb question, because I dig the white/brown colors! Will be challenging to keep it, and your matching cab clean though... :)

It is the tan Tolex with oxblood grille. I baby my gear and don't tour, so I plan on keeping it looking fresh for a long time. The cats will not be snoozing on this rig. ;)

I hope you plan on using it for some of your gigs, so the fans and fellow bass players can ooh and ahh over your beautiful rig! :D

Spotted one of these (black tolex) locally a few days ago. Did not plug in just visually inspected. Looks good and the knobs felt like good quality expensive ones.

My old music teacher had the old silverface bassman and I always got a wonderful tone. I know this may not be the same thing but I would like to think it is.

Cool that they have the blonde/ox option. I had some Rumble Bass cabs like that from '97 and enjoyed them.

Haven't had a lot of time to spend with the head yet, so I am still in the process of trying to dial in some good tones. The only bass cabs I have at the moment are the original Berg HT112/EX stack, so everything is sounding a little too hi-fi. That will change in a few weeks when the NEO 610 shows up.

I will say this tho, i plugged in my Larrivee Bakersfield Tele into the overdrive channel (through the Berg stack) and wow, was I bowled over. Instant Twin Reverb on steroids!! That setup has more twang factor than a dimed Deluxe Reverb.

I got to spend some quality time with it last night and finally coaxed some awesome tubey goodness from the Vintage channel using my Wyn and Regenerate Trib '55.

The secret to the sauce is in the mid-range of course!

This is going to be one frightfully awesome rig when it's complete .....

Sweet! Congrats. Love the blonde/oxblood combo too. I used to own a Rivera guitar amp with that combo.
