Hey Matt, maybe you don't know much about the old Squire basses from the 80's. They are actually better build than the Japan models back then. They are sought after. That might be a reasonable price if its the one I am thinking.

Hey Matt.... Weird, it didn't update. I just posted a comment and your came thru. I think Andrew has a bug on his site with 2 people posting at the same time. My bad.. I spoke too soon. Its a 32" not 34" scale. I sold my 32" scale real Fender P Bass for 499 on the bay last year. It had a beautiful flame maple neck and headstock. One of a kind. This bass is not what I thought. I am only human and do make mistakes on comments.

Here is a link to my bass I sold.

If this is one of the MIJ 32" scale Squires then the price is a bit high but not "beyond the pale" as it were. With the "vintage" market being what it is these days the MIJ Fenders and Squires have become a bit more collectable and thus the prices have gone a bit over what they would be otherwise.

Cheers!

What's the story on Sinister Guitars? I've seen listings from them on Ebay for years, and heard they were going to start building their own guitars. Anyone here ever deal with them?

Priced high to me too.

Andrew, I bought my Burns Bison bass from Sinister Guitars a few years ago. I don't recall any issues with my dealings with them (actually it's just a him). The price was reasonable and he did throw some extra little goodies in, i.e. typical self-serving promotional stuff like a Sinister Guitars keychain, sticker, etc.
