$5500 seems like a lot, but when you think of what a real '51 would cost and then add to that the fact that this bass is probably built better and sounds at least as good as any "real" '51 out there

that bad of a deal.
It's also not going to lose any significant value either... the market's down right now, but in a better economy you could probably easily sell that bass for more than what you paid for it.
As for me, I'm saving my money up for this one...
