Here is a cool 1999 Fender Hot Rod, I love these basses and I feel they are very under rated.

8 Years ago at a Guitar Show I tried a lefty Fender Trans Orange Hot Rod and for some reason did not buy it. Right now the bass is in the one that got away category. Someday I will get an Orange Hot Rod but wanted to share this Black one as they are great basses.

All of the left hand Fenders, and left hand basses in general that seem to be black, black, and more black, remind me of the Henry Ford quote when he first started selling cars - "you can have any color you want, as long as it's black!"

I just played a Lefty Fender America P-bass in Hong Kong that was a sunburst... and my Lefty MIM Fender J-bass is a kind of dark cherry or burgundy color... so they are out there, just few and far between :).

I agree, seems Fender MIM has many great colors, then Fender Japan is sorta limited but still good then Fender USA has two colors Black and Burst (Rosewood neck only). I have several other basses (Non-Fender) as I have my pick of colors. For this Hot Rod I have been searching for the Trans Orange as I should have purchased it a few years ago.
