Wow... Fender has produced one of their Artist series guitars and you can actually get it left-handed... unlike the current Ibanez Paul Gray tribute bass.

I'm admittedly a HUGE Nirvana fan, and would love to add one of these to my collection.

Pretty sweet, IMO.

That's MSRP. Street price I'm guessing would be anywhere from $300-500 less. (Note; the Yngwie Malmsteen model's MSRP is $2399 and you can get them for $1799: $700 less). Still a lot of coin, but if I'm not mistaken most (all?) Artist series guitars are made in the US and this is a fairly significant move for Fender considering they haven't offered a US made left handed Jaguar since the original run was discontinued 1975 at the VERY least! (I'm not even sure I've seen any lefty Jaguars from the 70's, so lefties may very well have ceased to be in the 60's). I do think it's unfortunate that Fender won't offer a "true" lefty Jaguar (Or my personal favorite, the Jazzmaster) in a MIA lefty model, as this Cobain model is really only a Jaguar in appearance after the mods.

I just read about it earlier this morning.
I loved the press photo of the instrument too... Notice anything funny about the headstock? ;)

As a graphic designer, I can only imagine what that person feels like right now.

Or more precisely, 6 tuner posts, 7 tuner knobs.
Why would he/she got to the trouble of "Photoshopping" an additional knob without simply counting first?

I remember when Fender made the Jagstang in the '90s. I believe they were Japanese.

Saw one in the window of a guitar store around 1999-2000 (for $550 IIRC), but when I went back a week later, it was gone. Nowadays even the righties go for more than that.

Had a Jaguar once, did not like the short scale, but I definitely would get the KC model if I won the lotto.

One just arrived at Dave's Music. I am not a fan of relic'ing, but I actually like the look of it on this one. Looks like a nice slab of wood for a MIM build.
