There are lots of basses I'd love to be able to get left handed, but for me the worst thorn has always been the Gibson Thunderbird. What's yours?

I agree, a lefty T-bird would be absolutely sick! I would like to see the Warwick Vampyre and the ESP/LTD Tom Araya Signature Series basses lefty...also, a MIM Fender Precision bass would be nice (or a Highway One)...

Subsonic, I saw a lefty Warwick Vampyre a month ago on some site, though unfortunately I can't remember where.

Another vote for a lefty T-Bird. I would also like to see a non-custom shop Fender Tele-style bass, a Kubicki X-Factor, or a Fender Mustang re-issue.

I'd also dig a Tele-bass of some sort.

Hopefully we'll eventually get enough members here to try to get organized for a limited edition bass down the road.

I'm also in favor of a lefty Thunderbird. It's an awesome bass.

I'd also love to see a left-handed version of the Peavey Zodiac DE (Dave Ellefson's signature model). It's a sweet-looking and sounding bass!

I would love to see more 5-strings, 34"-scale in the $1000-$1500 range, like Fenders.

I would like to get a workhorse 5-strings, but the choices are so limited in that range. EB/MM has them, but I dislike the brand. And then there is all the Asian brands, Schecter, ESP, Ibanez, but the strings spacing is so narrow.

I'd second a MIM Fender P. I'd also like to see Ibanez bring back the lefty ATK.

I'd love to see a few choices in hollowbody basses without going the custom order route.

You getting the 5 string itch again Carlos?

Yes I agree about the ATK. They offer the Slipknot bassist's sig. ATK in lefty, but I hate the neck inlay on that bass. I think Danomite64 has an older lefty ATK.

I'm also a hollowbody bass lover. It's always something I wish they'd offer lefty, especially considering how easy some of the symmetrical bodied ones would be to offer lefty.

oh yeah...Jackson Randy Rhoads V Bass lefty would be sick...especially since they dont even make it righty yet  or the Dean Razorback V (I think that is what it is called)...to be honest, there is almost NO EXCUSE why any company with a "V" shaped body can't have a lefty model. Anyone else agree?

I'd be pretty happy if MM offered two pickup Stingray and Sterlings left handed.

I wish Fender would offer any of their single coil P's or Tele basses.
Always wanted to try out a longhorn Danny too.

Great pic, Marley!

A single coil Tele or P bass is a must for us lefties. A few years ago I researched what it would take to build one using Warmoth parts, etc. Believe it or not, the hardest part to get lefty was the control plate! It would have involved getting a righty one and chroming the underside.

As for a lefty Longhorn, see my post in the southpaws spotted section. Apparently they are (were) made for the asian market. Jerry Jones also made lefty Longhorns very briefly in the early 90's. Personally, it always urks me to see symmetrical basses not offered lefty. Come on, how hard can it be to drill holes on the opposite side? Of course, there is always the option of flipping a righty, but it would sound slightly different given the angles of the pickups.

good point on the '51P lefty control plate ... I can't recall ever seeing one for sale. I'll remember to snag a couple should I ever see them

all the best,
