These have become extremely rare and difficult to find in recent years:

Somebody let me know what Groovy's asking for it, as I'm curious what these are worth lately. (Though Groovy's always on the high side).

I called and asked a while back. I can't remember exactly, but it was either in the $1100 or $1400 range.

just checked my saved emails from about a month ago,1,495 for t-bird,and 1,295 for the fender musicmaster,yep both way too much!

Wow! Who would still buy a Gibson Thunderbird with neck through body after seeing this, if you can have a real Epiphone Thunderbird with a genuine bolt on neck for the exact same amount? :P

I'd definitely get the Bach or a Tokai TB48.

The bach T Bird is definitely a good bass, i'm sure that with a pick up change will nail the classic Gibson T Bird sound
