got the bass last night its awsome it has it fair share or factory and wear flawes but the main thing that matters is that it plays like butter so smooth the neck is almost identical to my 1975 Fender P-Bass and sound wise omg it blows any stock MIA standard out of the water imho overall an amazing bass i'll be sure once i get a decent mic to put some sound clips up for you all to hear :D

I had a feeling you were going to like it; all the best with it! I performed with one of mine last night and it kicked ass as usual!

By the way; have you played "Open That Door" with the new bass yet? Cool song!
"Mama, where's your little daughter, she said, right there on the altar".... catchy lyrics nd beat!

hey punkrockbassist, in what way you feel the japan p sound is different/better from the std usa one ?

i've had the chance to hear just a few japan p basses, but it seemed to me that they all sounded rather harshy (lots of himids and highs, lack of midbass and bass), while the usa/mexico production is more full and round ...

well like any bass they vary no two basses are alike in my opinion mine has a nice full warm punchy tone that a p bass should have and the neck is perfect plays so smooth felt like it was made for my hands very comfortable and comparable to my 1975 fender p-bass neck and also the weight of the bass is perfect not too heavy but not a featherweight either i dont know i just love it it just does it for me all the MIM and MIA standards i've played just felt like they were lacking something i dont know thats just my opinion.
