Bass looks good other than cracks in the fingerboard. Since it's neckthrough, you can't just buy a new neck for it. Thoughts?

I'm very interested in this bass and watching it closely, I'll go for it unless it gets too pricey.

I will probably put the starting bid down and not go any higher. I still have to pay the rest of my bass off this week :P

Those type of cracks on ebony are quite common if the bass lives in dry climate for a long period of time. I had a Fodera that had that problem, and the shop told me, if I remember correctly, that there's nothing to worry about. Just oil the fingerboard regularly. These crack can also be "fixed" by putting some kind of sealing, like an epoxy, I guess.

What I don't like about that bass is the seller. Read the feedback - seems like the stereotypical shady pawnshop operation. But if it stays on the cheap, I guess it's a controlled risk.

put down the bid. Would like to see this go for the 250 (hint*hint) :P would probably sell my schecter then.... ;) ;)

Plus I REALLY wanted a tweed case for my incoming carvin, but they wouldn't give it to me with the free case deal. bummer. This one has one though.

Well it's gone above where I care to bid, she's all yours Blank! :D
Just FYI, The finish on that is "Harlequin Prismatic" that they offered for a couple of years, very cool color changing finish. Also has a D-tuner. This bass originally cost someone $1000+

Check this page: http://www.carvinmuseum.com/playersgallery/lb70.html
Second bass down "Webmaster's LB70" for more info/cool pics of this color.

I am considering buying it and selling my schecter; but I do like my Schecter and will probably just pass. I want to buy a color nook anyways (tablet ereader)
