Very nice indeed!

What are the specs (weight, woods, etc.)?

Very, very pretty! Love the finish on the P, and everything about the J 8-)
But wouldn't a fully historically correct '66 reissue have had dots and bindings and lollipop tuners? :)

You're correct - there had been also Binding plus Dot Basses but also Blocks plus Binding.

And for the Paddel Tuners - I just don't like them ;) - so I've ordered the "normal" tuners from this decade (there also had been basses like my Bass in 66')

I have put my orders on the 64' model which they do offer and made it to my personal 66 ;)

The specs :

57' Pbass :

Ash body
1-piece Maple neck
no raised pole pieces
White Blonde finish (Closet Classic)
white pickguard (I also have a black and a mint guard)
weight : around 4 kg

66' Bass :

Ash body (instead of Alder)
Rosewood board
Vintage White finish (Closet Classic)
matching headstock
white Blocks & Binding
weight : around 4 kg

Man those are probably the two nicest lefty Fenders I've ever seen, especially the 66. Wouldn't the 57 have a gold andonized guard though?

And you've got to love the light weight that seems to be the norm with the FCS....

Fender changed from dots to blocks on bound necks half way through 1966, so both are period correct.

Yes - but I don't like the gold guard on that white colour ;) - the original order was also Vintage White together with a mint guard but Fender made a mistake and delivered the Bass in that White Blonde - so I got 10% off the price and took it and got a new white one (and also have a black one) made by pickguardheaven. Now the Bass looks like the 59' CS modells

Stunning instruments you have there. IMO, the "White Blonde" mistake is probably an improvement. I've seen too many vintage white Fender custom shop jobs that end up looking pink, since the finish is so transparent the wood showing through gives it that illusion. Years ago Sam Ash on 48th St. in NYC had a Custom Shop '57 P in vintage white with the gold guard for a (then) reasonable price, but I just couldn't get around the horrible pinkish look and passed on it.

REALLY like the looks of that '66 JB! I've not been a fan of Fenders, but, I've not owned a very good one. Would very much like to own one like this though! 8-)

oh you're right - now I can see it too :D ;)

but this is the FIRST time I can see that... in "real life" the Bass varys from a light touch of grey to creamy white (that depends on the lightning factor around)

also seeing my Bass on videos or pics from gigs I've never felt it looking pink ;)
