Too bad about the pickup placement indeed.
Great basses, I'm loving mine. I did upgrade the electronics, bridge and tuners. The tuners were OK, but I wanted a D-tuner on it and replaced the others to match the Hipshot D-tuner.

Oh My!

My MIJ '62RI is my favorite Jazz and is the only bass I own that ties with my '75 Precision. It is as well built as any MIA I have handled and the neck is the thinnest I have ever seen on any Jazz including the Geddy. It is completely stock except for the bridge and pickguard.
