Don't know Fenders like some of you here, but I like the color, Maple neck, fret markers.... whether it's worth it or not, it looks nice!

That's a nice one, and I'd say the price is not crazy. Too bad I already have two amazing Jazz basses, otherwise I'd be all over this. . .

Normally, I'd sqwak at the BIN price. But considering it's condition, and the fact that it has a maple neck (rare) and blocks and binding (custom options at the time, i believe) make it a competitive price IMO. Groovy Guitars or Chicago Music Exchange would want 4 to 5 grand if they had one in similar condition to sell.

Heh, another 4-bolt, bullet truss rod Jazz. Guess they are common enough, and I just never noticed it before.

Ha, didn't notice that until now. Wow, what are the chances of two lefty '75s Jazz Basses and with that feature showing up on eBay, the same week. . .

I've been scouting lefty J-basses for 12 years, and all of a sudden they appear. Good times for a lefty collector. . .

It makes me just a tad nervous when the seller doesn't feel it necessary to list the town and state the item is shipping from. Seems like that's becoming more common now, and I think it should be mandatory that the seller has to list his origin, and where the item ships from if it isn't at his primary location. Just sayin'....

it does seem that possibly that this bass and the black jazz could of been 74`s or earlier, and the sellers think their 75`s,or they know 75 jazz basses are very sought after because of the reissue lines and advertise as 75`s, i have looked on the net for years at 75 jazz basses and NEVER seen 75`s`with 4 bolt plates,i live in scranton,pa and ther was a place here called the bass palace afew years ago,i live about 1 mile from it and would visit it almost every weekend, this place was amazing and he had many 75 jazz basses at all times coming and going and i never seen a 4bolt 75 j bass, but i did see 3 bolt 75`s with neck shifting problems and the way they were repaired was to make them 4 bolts, sometimes he would put a shim in the neck pocket and try to keep it 3 bolt,no matter what the 2 basses we are discussing are beautiful basses, but for the money,i would expect original, unrepaired basses,i wanted a all original 75 jazz bass so bad that i took a day off of work back in the spring time and drove 3 hours up to albany,ny and another 3 hrs home to make sure i was getting an all original piece, old fenders are just that,OLD,so all original is very important to me,also i used to love and hate the bass palce wher i used to go,ALL RIGHTYS,ALL THE TIME! also here is this topic about 3-4 bolt discusion over on the other site. http://www.talkbass.com/forum/archive/i ... 87583.html

It ought to discourage more than a potential buyer...It's going to be a tough sell at this price.

Also, IMO, the black one just looks cleaner, fresher, better.
