 Post subject: 1982 or 1978 ? Fender P-Bass

Ok the seller listed as a 1982 but i am getting 1978 from the serial number :?

i know pjmuck i have seen some heavy p-basses bofore but never 12 pounds :shock:

yes, S8 and S9 serials were used from 1978 to 1982, until they switched to Exxx and Vxxx (for vintage reissues) numbering

meh! it's a featherweight. :) I have played lefty mid/late 70's P-basses that were over 13 lbs.
