Expensive, yes, and you'll NEVER find a neck for it. When was the last time you saw a lefty SR neck for sale? Music Man only makes necks for the basses they build when they build them. I called and asked to buy a fretless neck for my 4 string and they said they wouldn't do it unless my neck was broken, and even then, I had to send them to the old broken neck!? Strange.

Isn't there some company that does carbon fiber necks for Music Man basses? I can't remember the name but I'm pretty sure I'm remembering correctly :geek:

Moses and Status both make graphite replacement necks for Stingrays, but even there I don't think lefty is an option..

Moses makes lefty necks for SRs, if you can get them to actually do anything. I placed a fretless neck order for the SR mentioned earlier and 6 months later I had to threaten them to get my money back. They never made the neck, they wouldn't answer emails or the phone, terrible experience.

Didn't Moses also make the necks for the old MM Cutlass basses?

if I had my duplicarver set-up, I could have cloned you a neck from my 1st year production B00 ... but I won't have this tooling production ready until late this year

all the best,

R

Count me in for next year! I'm STILL looking for a fretless MM neck!

Both Moses and Status make Stingray replacement necks... Status is actually licensed to do this by EBMM, so they can legally reproduce the same headstock design.

Neither of them make lefty replacement necks, however... I looked not too long ago and struck out with both companies.

Moses must have just recently stopped offering lefty. I dealt with them probably 3 years ago or so.

From what I can tell, they offer their 4-string 34" scale J-bass necks lefty, but that's it.

They don't even offer their P-Bass neck lefty.
