I was interested in those once until Ken emailed me back and told me he had nothing to do with those basses other than allow them to use his name.....they kinda of lost their appeal to me then...... :(

Wow, that's actually pretty lame of Ken Smith IMO. Why let someone use your name on a bass you had nothing to do with? He doesn't seem to be appreciating the credibility and respect in the industry his basses have built up over the years if he's willing to flush it to make a quick buck on a Jazz knock off he had no hand in designing.

I had the same conversation with him a while ago. I tried a 60's model out from Adirondack and found it to be HEAVY with a not-so-good B string.

This bass is in my hometown....let me know if I can help anyone interested in it.

You're in Hudson Falls? I'm in Oneonta. I love Adirondack (great guy) but it's a long ride just to try out a bass! I may ask you someday to take one out for test ride for me and give me your opinion!! :D

I've purchased a few basses from Adirondack and I've had nothing but excellent experiences with them. I was surprised to hear all the guitards on another forum bashing them though. Maybe Adirondack are strictly bass specialists.
