I tried several attempts to relocate the lower strap button before I found the best spot, so I have a couple of additional drill holes in mine. I also use an acoustic guitar strap with laces that tie around the headstock just above the nut rather than use the strap button located at the heel of the neck. I found this offers the best overall balance for me.
