Does anyone know if the Burns Bison reissues from the 2000s came in lefty?

Yes, lefties were made in both black and white, though they are very rare and I don't believe they were offered past 2002. There is actually a rare white one that's been listed on Arni's site since September that doesn't show as being sold yet:

Oops, my mistake. That's a Marque bass, not a Bison. But lefty Bisons were definitely made in both black and white in very limited quantities.

I would guess the lefty production numbers were extremely small, and those that have them aren't giving them up. I've had mine since around 2002, and seen very few since. Beautiful bass, very well made!

They must be rare, Carmine only has one of them!

Great looking bass - how would you describe the sounds you can coax out of it?

A lot of nice sounds out of the bass, but not sure whether it was the player, or the way it was EQ'ed, but would have liked to hear a richer Fender Jazz bass, or a P-bass tone... still, for flatwound strings, it has a nice "bite" to it... very cool bass!
