As predicted, maple necks are available for lefties, along with a few more finish options: http://shop.fender.com/en-US/mod-shop/ One has to wonder if they'll re-brand their Am Pro series yet again to now offer maple necks, or just let the rosewood stock dry up and not bother offering any lefties at all. |

Mod shop has been up for a few months. Kinda like ADE, only fewer options and way more expensive. |

I don't recall seeing maple necks or finishes like daphne blue before though, at least when I first checked the mod shop a while ago. |

They have. I remember being a little surprised at that color option when the mod shop site went live. |

$1800 for a Jazz. Ouch. That is really cool that they have added Candy Apple Red (or has it always been available?). I have always loved that color. Maybe it is not tenable from a construction perspective, or maybe it doesn't really make any difference in tone, but I think it would be cool if they offered a 70s pickup spacing option. There seem to be plenty of people around who like it. I wouldn't mind to get my hands on an Ash/Rosewood jazz with 70s spacing (preferably in Olympic White, but that would have to be Alder). |

I could be wrong but I believe that very high price does not include a case. I had a couple of favorites on ADE but never ordered now seeing the Mod Shop due to price it's not even a consideration. I agree that the Candy Apple red is nice, however that Mystic Red is very close and as you can still order the body for $179, I am thinking I may order a body and build the bass myself using the parts I want and having US Fender body and Neck. |
