I finally took photos of all of my basses - not the best quality. 1 - Zolla. Custom built for me in 1998 or so. I traded this bass for a neck-thru Thumb bass, then sold the Thumb bass. Years later, I found the body only on Ebay. I scooped it up and put these necks on. The top neck (cheapo Chinese neck) is a piccolo bass and the bottom is a USACG neck. Carvin electronics. 2 - Scream Basses bass. Took me two weeks to hand paint the USACG body. Moses graphite neck. Cocobolo inserts. Audere electronics. 3 - Scream Basses fretless. My own design. Daytona Sunset Orange (Corvette). Moses graphite neck. Passive. 4 - 80s Peavey Foundation. 5 - Schecter Diamond Series. 6 - 80s Ibanez RB630 - all original. 7 - 80s Ibanez RB630 with a righty neck - this is my daily player. 8 - 1979 Ibanez Studio bass. Always wanted one - tough to find in lefty. 9 - 70s Ibanez Jazz bass - the headstock is broken... 10 - ESP LTD 11 - Dean EADG acoustic - just picked this up on Friday. Plays nicely for a cheapo bass. 12 - Dean Xotica - piccolo bass - my other daily player 13 - Frankenbass - 1978 Fender Jazz neck on a USACG body. Audere electronics. 14 - 1977 Ric 4001 - all original. 15 - Hohner B2AV

The Ibanez basses look like 630's to me; the 650 is a p/j. Of course, there could be Jazz pickups hiding in all that black...... |

I just keep thinking about how cool it would look with a toaster and reissue horseshoe. I love the custom paint on the Scream, by the way! And, how do you like that Hohner B2AV? I had one which I loved. The B-string left a little to be desired but, for me, it played fantastic and the compact body made it SO comfortable. I sold it soon after buying a B2A, as I am not big on fivers, and I love it as well. |

That custom paint job is fantastic. How did you do that? |

I first painted the body blue and then cut out "circle templates" - and then hand-painted every circle. If you look at it right (stare at one black circle, the other circles will move) I then covered the bass in epoxy resin. Attachment: 100_1530.JPG Attachment: 100_1498.JPG pete |

The Ric was a drunken Ebay bid that I didn't think I would win... The Hohner plays nice. I thought I'd play it more, but I just don't like the feel of a five string. |

"Look deep into the circles...." screambasses wrote: The Ric was a drunken Ebay bid that I didn't think I would win... Haha! At least you did this with a bid. I am so impulsive that usually when do drunk eBay it's a "buy it now" and I pay more than I needed to! |

Thinking about picking one up for a project I'm working on now. What's your opinion of them? |
