Does anybody know where I can find a replacement maple J neck with black block inlays to Fender's specs? I had originally planned to take the neck off my Squier J to put on my Schecter Model T, but I have since sold the Squier. I know Rondo had them at one time but I don't see they have stock anymore.

I hadn't considered buying a whole bass, but given what it would cost for a neck via Warmoth, this might be an option. Emphasis is on "cheap" here, as Rondo was selling their lefty block inlay necks for about $60.00.

The heal of the SX necks are just a bit wider and thicker than a fender so they are not just a drop in. The mounting holes probably won't match up either. The quality is comparable to most squires IMO.

I'm pretty sure those Rondo necks had painted blocks.

If you're OK with that, cool... but I wasn't sure if you knew that or not.
