Hey pals, Kind of hate to ask something so basic for my first post, but I'd really like to know if anyone knows of a site/outlet/brand that has "fancy" colors. I guess what I'm looking for is a deep purple or nice red with 4 or 5 strings. Kind of shallow or whatever, but I'm in the market for a new bass, and I'm tired of all the boring blacks and blues. I guess I should also add I don't want to pay a bajillion dollars for some custom mess, and that I also abhor Fenders! Oh, and I suppose my price cap is $1100. Any help, and I'd be super-grateful! |

you might try ordering parts from warmoth.com or a similar site like that. they have a pretty wide selection and can do paint in house. you should be able to create a pretty sweet bass for $1100. im not sure if they assemble basses in shop, but you can order all the parts and take it to a local guy in your area (if you know a respectable one) to put the bass together. otherwise the only other thing i can recommend is keeping an eye on ebay or craigslist. im sure some other members can help with your situation. there are some pretty knowledgeable members on this board. |

Someone was recently selling a lot of unusually colored G+L basses on Ebay, they may be worth looking at. |
