Hi Comrades,

I am a new member, and have been looking for an original fender fretless precision for years.

I thought about buying a 70s righty fender maple fretless neck and putting on a lefty fender precision body a modern one maybe. The nut would need work, but other than that, what should I check? Is there a guideline on precision necks fitting to precision bodies from different eras etc.?

Do you want "original" or not? And if you don't, why would you bother searching for vintage parts and then paying the premium for them when you can get a superior product from Warmoth for less money?

I'm not an expert, but as far as I know Fender neck pockets have always been symmetrical. It's worked twice for me. YMMV, who knows.
