Nice! Didn't you have a Classic too?
How does this one sound?

Yep, I've got a Classic IV, EEB-1, and Hi Flyer.
This one has a full, wide-open tone, kinda Ric-ish.

Isn't this new sparkly blue one a hi flyer? Is it a custom color?

She's a beauty!

This one is a one-off(for now), there was a limited edition of 12 red righty ones.
It's called a Sidejack 32, due to 32" medium scale.

Love it! Was the bridge mounted like that for you from the factory? Can't see any traces of redrilled holes in your pictures :)

Bridge is mounted straight, from the factory.

Oh, I see now, after inspecting your pics more closely. It's the tailpiece that's at an angle in your pics!

Very nice. I had wondered how they sound. Interesting, when you go to Eastwood's site, and look at the blue left-hand photo for the Sidejack 32 Bass, it is strung righty! As you say, a one-off!

So far just played it in the home studio, sounds somewhat Ric-ish.
Neck gets kinda wide but not TOO wide, neck is straight, had to raise the bridge a bit, action was too low for my tastes. Satin finish on the neck.

How does the Sidejack 32 compare to the short scale Hi-Flyer?

Totally different. Like comparing a Hofner and a Rickenbacker. The Hi-Flyer is fun for what it is, thumpy, but the 32 has a great ring to it and lotsa low-end too. Gonna sell the shorty.

I've got GHS Precision Flatwounds on mine, they're my go-to flats.
