Post subject:  Musicman compensated nut in lefty?
As above, do any of you have a MM with the compensated nut or were they just produced righty? If they do exist in lefty, do they make any difference or is it negligible? I've got a MM Sterling '02 which is great but just wondering if a nut change is worthwhile. Cheers all!

Yes mine has a compensated nut. It intonates just like all my other basses do. I can't possibly see a reason to swap a regular nut out. Are you having intonation problems ?

I had a Sterling with the compensated nut and a bunch of Stingray 4's and 5's without and I never noticed any difference in sound or in holding tuning. I never got the Buzz Felton nut thing.

I can't think of a reason to put it in a bass.
the main thing the buzz feiten system addresses is open chords, a bass is already too low to play
open chords.
the thing is, your neck is slightly bowed, which means that the distances on the lower
frets get "corrupted", this is substantially less noticeable on higher frets.
to my understanding, the buzz feiten system tries to remedy that.
so unless you play chords the chances of noticing any difference are slim.
