ok. I have a neck off a squire jazz bass and I wonder will it fit on a Kramer 700st? the Kramer has one additional fret over the Kramer. I haven't gotten the Kramer yet and I just refinished the neck not thinking about this! |

First you need to check if the neck fits in the neck pocket on the body, then you need to check the scale lenght. I guess what you mean ist that the Kramer neck has an additional fret (21) over the Squier (20). That probably mean you must relocate the bridge (or the neck) so the distance from the twefth fret to the bridge saddles is the same as the distance from first to twelfth fret. |

That's what I was afraid of. Measuring from the 12th fret to the saddle? And how does that work with saddles in different spots? |

The saddles moves to adjust or fine tune each string. Check this out: http://www.stewmac.com/freeinfo/Frettin ... ength.html |
