We're in the process of packing to move into a bigger house so I haven't had any real time with it since receiving it yesterday afternoon.
The neck is pretty amazing. I LOVE the neck on my Schecter Model T and this one is similar but with satin finish and binding. It is VERY thin at the nut, and the neck is shallow front to back. Neck is arrow straight out of the box. I already know I'm gonna love this neck.
Haven't had a strap on it yet but seems balanced enough to not have neck-dive, but we'll see tomorrow at rehearsal.
One interesting thing I noted, and since I only play with a pick it doesn't matter, but the MM pickup is a righty.
More info and pics later this week.

I've always been curious about these. And yep, they did mount that pickup upside down. Never noticed that before.

I own an older model of this (2005). It's a keeper, I'll never part with it, for reasons you cited: great neck, feel. Surprisingly hi fi modern Stingray tone considering the general look/F-hole hollow body design, and it does balance well (unlike my old G&L ASAT). PUP on mine appears to be configured properly:

That's okay, your strings are too. ;)
Great looking bass ALB, congrats!
I take it that it has an active tone circuit?

After a few rehearsals and a couple shows I am still digging this bass!
The band digs it too.
One weird quirky thing that I figure is due to it being left-handed; the Bass and Treble Boosts increase clockwise while the Volume increases counter-clockwise.
Balance is good, weight is good.
Sounds great.
