Post subject:  Converting Mustang into lefty

Hi guys.
I am having hard time finding a left-handed short scale bass. I have a chance to get a cheap Mustang bass.
How easy would it be to flip it around? Knocking out and reversing the nut etc.
Would the pickups work properly?
Thank you!

1. It would be no problem to flip it. pop out and flip the nut, swap strings(you'll probably need a new set due to the staggered tuners), reintonate the bridge, swap the strap button to the lower horn. It may be neck-heavy due to the strap button being on the short horn. You MAY find the controls are in your way, or like me, you may have no problem with them.

2. There are lefty short-scale basses available from Rondo. I have one and enjoy playing it.

Have you seen Pete's Bass sale, I have the same Dano it may work for what you need, if not maybe one of the other basses would.
